Good Design is achieved through designing with intention. It can be applied to products, architecture, and all creative fields, but it is also subtly integrated into every aspect of the human experience. Good design offers a beautiful harmony between science and art and I would love to have you join me in exploring how to integrate various forms of design into everyday life!

I graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Architecture and Design and a certificate in Design Thinking. This experience not only taught me how to design interiors but also how to intentionally think like a designer, viewing the world through a different lens and having a unique approach to problem-solving. When I learned about the concept of Good Design (click here for an in-depth explanation), I was fascinated by how much I found myself applying the principles I learned about in class to my daily life with everything from the products I was buying to the understanding I was gaining of why I felt happier surrounded by certain designs and environments more than others.

I decided to create this website to make design knowledge more accessible for everyone: it is a misconception that someone needs a degree in a creative field to apply various concepts of design to their life. I believe the first step is for people to become aware that these concepts even exist and to be provided an explanation for how to shift their thinking with daily choices. Creativity is as much of a mindset as a skillset and my hope is I can help you become the designer of your life while learning and growing alongside you as I research evidence-based topics for my articles.
